摘要：A metering device and method for selectively separating at least one articlefrom an infeed stream of such articles comprising an article conveying means includingone or more lugs mounted on an endless track. Cam means causes the or each lug tomove from a retracted position to a deployed position interposed between the articlesat a desired location at an infeed end of the device. Each lug is caused to form a groupingcontaining a predetermined number of articles with a predetermined spacing betweenadjacent groupings.
